DJ Rogue began his love affair with wheels of steel over 25 years ago, around
about the same time he first fell in love with Drum and Bass or Jungle as it was
known back then.
DJ Rogue started out playing at house parties in his local area, but he really
started to make a name for himself when he began studying at University and
became part of the Ill Vibes Crew.
The Ill Vibes Crew and Lady K (Sublow Promotions), were responsible for the
legendary Kenetix Nights which were held at the Unit 3 (formerly known as the
Attic), these nights were DJ Rogue’s first opportunity to perform alongside
established acts such as Andy C, Shy Fx, Ed Rush, Mampi Swift, and Pascal.
These nights were so successful that they eventually led to Sublow Promotions
gaining a regular Tuesday night residency called Binary Motives, for four years at
the 900 capacity students union at Buckinghamshire Chilterns University, which
saw DJ Rogue performing alongside artists such as DJ Hype, DJ Fresh, and Nicky
Blackmarket to name but a few. These events helped bring about further dj work
for DJ Rogue which included dj sets and residencies at Turnmills, The Buttermarket
and student union venues up and down the country and even the world-famous Es
Paradis in Ibiza at the Plan B and Wretch 32 after show party.
Rogue has also played a big part in the D&B/Jungle scene locally over the years,
most notably as part of the High Wycombe management team, behind the hugely
successful
“Back 2 Da Future” brand… which hosted artists such as DJ Hazard, Brockie and
DET, Mampi Swift and helped introduce a new generation of ravers to these trend
setting artists for the very first time.
You can currently catch DJ Rogue doing his thing at events up and down the
country, as well as on Manic FM, Rough Tempo, or Origin FM.
